Part-time (0.6FTE)

Food Technology TAS Aide

Belmont Christian College invites applications from suitably qualified Food Technology TAS Aides to commence in Term 1, 2022 to serve as a part-time Aide in our TAS Department. We are now seeking expressions of interest from anyone who is passionate about assisting Kingdom Education and working in a productive team environment with students.

 The successful applicant should: 

  • Be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church
  • Attain technology competencies – office, kitchen, and textiles equipment
  • Hold a Safe Food Handling Certificate or equivalent
  • Have experience in food, textiles procedures and practices
  • Hold a driver’s license and own their own vehicle
  • Have a genuine love of children and be committed to their growth in learning
  • Contribute to the life of the College community
  • Expect to be part of a God-honouring collaborative staff team 

Details of the above. 

  1. Basic knowledge and practice in budgeting, invoicing and balancing petty cash.
  2. Technology competence – computer literacy (Word and Excel), photocopier,printer, industrial kitchen equipment (refrigerator, stoves, sink, dishwasher)
  3. Experienced in food ordering, handling and cleaning kitchen premises
  4. Knowledge of textile processes, procedures, calculations, ordering, purchasing and associated technology e.g. use and maintenance of sewing machines, over locker and related equipment within the textiles room 

The Food Technology TAS Aide may also have to work with individual students with special attributes in a classroom setting to assist their learning and ensure an Inclusive Education. The Aide would need to demonstrate initiative, be self-motivated and energetic as the role can be quite physical. Excellent communication and organisational skills are a requirement.

Learning Enrichment Aide – Inclusive Education

Belmont Christian College invites applications from suitably qualified Learning Enrichment Aides to commence in Term 1, 2022 to serve as a full-time Learning Enrichment Aide in our Primary School. This Aide position is required for our Kindergarten classrooms. The position will be an Education Support Level 3.
We are now seeking expressions of interest from anyone who is passionate about Kingdom Education and working in a productive team environment with students.

The successful applicant should:

  • Be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church
  • Be able to assist in providing quality Christian education to students in Primary School
  • Hold at least a Certificate lV in Education Support
  • Have MiniLit experience
  • Have experience with Kindergarten
  • Have a genuine love of children and be committed to their growth in learning
  • Contribute to the life of the College community
  • Expect to be part of a God-honouring collaborative staff team

The Learning Enrichment Aide may be required to work with small groups of children in the classroom or outside the general classroom as directed by the teacher. They may also have to work with individual students in a classroom setting or to accompany staff and students on excursions. They would be reporting relevant aspects of student progress to the teacher and other members of the Learning Enrichment Team (LET) as well as contributing to professional discussions to ensure inclusive Education for all students.

Applicants should be able to work compatibly within a team, actively assisting students with special attributes and their learning. They should be creative and insightful, and able to demonstrate skills in student differentiation in all Key Learning Areas. Planning collaboratively with the class teacher to develop effective programs is also an expectation.

Belmont Christian College invites applications from suitably qualified Learning Enrichment Aides to commence immediately to serve as a part-time Learning Enrichment Aide in our Primary School. The position will be an Education Support Level 3.
We are now seeking expressions of interest from anyone who is passionate about Kingdom Education and working in a productive team environment with students.

The successful applicant should:

  • Be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church
  • Be able to assist in providing quality Christian education to students in Primary School
  • Hold at least a Certificate lV in Education Support
  • Have MiniLit experience
  • Have experience with Kindergarten
  • Have a genuine love of children and be committed to their growth in learning
  • Contribute to the life of the College community
  • Expect to be part of a God-honouring collaborative staff team

Primary Teacher

Belmont Christian College invites applications from suitably qualified Primary Christian educators to commence in Term 1, 2022 to serve as either a full-time or part-time Stage 2 teacher.
We are now seeking expressions of interest from Christian educators who are passionate about Kingdom Education and working in a productive team environment.

The successful applicant should:

  • Be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church
  • Be able to provide quality Christian Education to students in Primary School
  • Have a passion to improve the learning culture for every single learner
  • Have high expectations and an understanding that improvement is a shared responsibility
  • Contribute to the life of the College community
  • Hold a 4-year Bachelor of Education degree (or equivalent)
  • Expect to be part of a God honouring collaborative staff team

Applicants should have the willingness and ability to collaborate or job share with their Stage partner. They should be able to work compatibly within the team, actively contributing to Stage 2 planning, programming and assessments.

Applicants must be able adopt explicit teaching practices as their teaching method as well as being creative and insightful. It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate exemplary skills in student differentiation and programming in all Key Learning Areas.

Secondary Mathematics / Science Teacher

We are now seeking expressions of interest from Christian educators who are passionate about Kingdom Education and working in a productive team environment.

  • Applicants should be able to teach the senior Physics course and teaching Mathematics up to 10 Advanced would be advantageous.

Belmont Christian College invites applications from suitably qualified Secondary Christian educators to commence in Term 1, 2022 to serve as a part-time (roughly 0.5FTE) TAS teacher.
We are now seeking expressions of interest from Christian educators who are passionate about Kingdom Education and working in a productive team environment.

The successful applicant should:

  • Be able to provide quality Christian education to students in Years 7 -12
  • Have a passion to improve the learning culture for every single learner

Applicants should have experience and a willingness to teach Stage 4 Technology Mandatory, Stage 5 Industrial Technology-Timber and Stage 6 Design and Technology.
