COLLEGE VALUES
If our College Purpose statement is to become
an enduring reality, what actually needs to
happen every day?
Our College Values are the shared culture of our College, drawn from the Bible. These values are not slogans. They are the posture we choose to take, every day, as students, staff, and families.
Thankfulness
A heart of thankfulness flows into all that we do. We celebrate community, learning and Jesus.
Humility
In every moment, we serve to benefit others. We take our lead from Jesus, humility personified.
Compassion
Hearts of mercy, grace and forgiveness drive us to acts of kindness, empathy and care. Eternal hope is our true north.
Courage
We stand up for what’s right and true, even when it’s hard. Despite moments of uncertainty, our future is assured.
Perseverance

Living The BCC Way

I hear so many stories from my sons about the care that older kids show them at BCC. A Year 6 buddy sitting alongside and playing games; a friend’s older brother walking them home; a
high school girl stopping to help him out back in Kindergarten; or even a Year 10 boy folding paper aeroplanes with him.

Over the past 13 years our children have attended BCC, I have seen just how much the teachers care for each individual child. They have made them feel seen, cared for and accommodated. On one occasion, Mr Stafford went above and beyond to make sure my eldest daughter overcame some hesitancy about going on school camp. She had a wonderful time!

We have been at BCC for three years, starting in Beginners. We spent a long time searching for the right school, and we are so grateful that we found it at BCC. The community and the education our son is receiving are such a gift. We can see The BCC Way at the heart of it all. From the kindness we were shown from day one, the courage and determination our son has found, and the way teachers nurture and guide each and every student. It is such a blessing.
As a family, it is also deeply reassuring to see God’s Word at the centre of everything. Knowing our children are growing up surrounded by faith, respect, and a real sense of security means so much to us.

When we moved from another country to Newcastle, we didn’t know anyone here. BCC welcomed us with compassion, truly understanding the challenges of starting over in a new place. They offered the kind of help every newcomer hopes for – especially when you arrive with nothing more than two suitcases. BCC offered not only a sense of belonging, but also the courage to get started.
Above all, I’m thankful that my child is part of this College. It’s a place where Christ-centred values shape young hearts and create a ripple effect that can touch generations through them. Knowing my child is surrounded by like-minded friends with similar values gives me such a peace of mind. In so many ways, BCC has been an answer to our prayers.
