COVID ALERT
As you may have heard on the news last night and this morning, there are now confirmed cases and school closures in the Lake Macquarie and Maitland LGAs.
Further to the Premier’s announcement late this morning, Lake Macquarie LGA will be in lockdown from 5pm today.
Our preparation day for remote learning will occur tomorrow and remote learning will commence on Monday. That means tomorrow, Friday 6 August, will be a pupil free day.
Specific information regarding remote learning in Primary and Secondary will be communicated tomorrow, Friday 6 August. Whilst we recognise that this will be disruptive and inconvenient for families, it is important that we follow NSW Health advice and take all necessary precautions to minimise the risk of further transmission to support our community.
As usual, if your child exhibits any symptoms, they must get tested immediately. NSW Health requests anyone who has been unwell or develops any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pain, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.
