Part-time 0.4 FTE (12 months Parental leave cover)

PDHPE Secondary Teacher

Belmont Christian College invites applications from suitably qualified PDHPE Teacher for Secondary school students in a part-time position of about two days per week, for a 12 month parental leave cover.

We are now seeking expressions of interest from anyone who is passionate about assisting Kingdom Education and working in a productive team environment with students.

Details of the role involves:

  • •Curriculum & Teaching: Plan and deliver engaging PDHPE lessons aligned with the NSW curriculum, ensuring a positive impact on student learning. Assess progress through formative and summative assessments, provide feedback, and foster an inclusive learning environment.
  • •Communication: Use clear, adaptive communication in teaching PDHPE concepts, engage students actively, and maintain open dialogue with parents and colleagues.
  • •Innovation & Growth: Integrate technology, stay updated on trends, and apply evidence-based teaching strategies for PDHPE curriculum.
  • •Safety: Conduct risk assessments, enforce safety protocols, and ensure a secure learning environment.

The PDHPE teacher plays a crucial role in promoting students’ physical, mental, and social well-being by fostering healthy habits and active lifestyles. And in equipping students with essential life skills, including resilience, teamwork, and decision-making, to navigate personal and societal challenges. Through engaging lessons and sports programs, they inspire confidence, self-discipline, and lifelong fitness.

Full time

Primary Performing and/or Visual Arts Teacher

Our College is a leading Christian PreK-12 College in the Newcastle region that has experienced growth in recent years with over 900 students.

We invite applications from suitably qualified Primary Performing and/or Visual Arts Teacher to commence in Term 01, 2026 to serve as a full-time teacher. While we prefer full-time profiles, we are open to receive part-time teacher profiles as well.

The successful applicant should:

  • • Be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church
  • • Be able to provide a quality Christian performing arts education to students in Primary School with a commitment to educational excellence
  • • Contribute to the cultural life of the College community, particularly in Dance and Drama activities
  • • Hold a 4-year bachelor’s degree in education (or equivalent), with a knowledge of current and proposed Creative Arts syllabus
  • • Expect to be part of a God honouring collaborative staff team

Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:

  • • Training and/or experience in Dance and/or Drama. Experience in organising and facilitating performance opportunities for students
  • • Actively contribute to planning, programming and assessment of Creative Arts KLAs, especially Dance and Drama
  • • Excellent communication skills to facilitate learning for large groups of Primary students
  • • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with the Creative and Performing Arts faculty in curriculum and innovative classroom practice
  • • Experience directing primary school musicals along with an ability to cultivate creativity and a love for dance and drama in primary age students

Primary Teacher

We invite applications from suitably qualified Primary Christian educators to commence in Term 1, 2026 to serve as a full-time Primary Classroom Teacher.  

The Primary Teacher role is an opportunity for an experienced, innovative Christian educator who is passionate about Kingdom Education and desires to work within a productive team environment.

The successful applicant should:

  • • Be able to provide quality Christian education to students in Primary School
  • • Have a passion to improve the learning culture for every single learner
  • • Have high expectations and an understanding that improvement is a shared responsibility

All staff are required to be Christians, active in their local church and have a willingness to follow the College’s Codes of Conduct and child safe policies. Applicants should be creative and insightful, and able to demonstrate exemplary skills in student differentiation and programming in all key learning areas. Applicants must be familiar with the current K-6 syllabus. They must be able to adopt explicit instruction teaching practices as their core teaching pedagogy.

Part-time (0.92 FTE during term time)

Secondary School Administrator

Starts in Term 01, 2026

We invite applications from suitably qualified Secondary School Administrator to commence in Term 01, 2026 to serve in a part-time position (7 hours per day, 5 days a week, 40 weeks per annum, 4 weeks A/L). 

The successful applicant should:

  • • Be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church
  • • Be able to provide excellence in administration service to Secondary school students, staff and parents through a Christian perspective 
  • • Contribute to the cultural life of the College community
  • • Minimum Certificate II or III in Business/School Administration or equivalent, or substantial experience

Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:

  • • Proficiency in IT applications, including Email, Word, Excel, Google tools, and Mail Merge. Skilled in using relevant technology and equipment effectively.
  • • Experience of general clerical and administrative duties;
  • • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a calm and professional demeanour with staff, children and families, and team collaboration.
  • • Demonstrates confidentiality, integrity, enthusiasm and discretion at all times.
