My Church

Hunter Bible Church Lake Macquarie.

What is my prop all about?

It shows my passionate support for the “real” Sydney AFL team, the Greater Western Sydney Giants!

What church ministries excite me?

I look after MCing at church and I love seeing people welcomed well into church.

What does a lazy afternoon look like for me?

Lazy afternoon would be a walk by the Lake with my Wife, Son and Dog. Then cook a decent meal and watch a movie.

The best thing about working at BCC is…

Free coffee on the first day was a highlight, but the team seem lovely! Keen to get into sharing God’s word with the students of BCC.

Assistant Principal/Head of Secondary School

Mr Steve Tidey

My church

Belmont Baptist.

What is my prop all about?

Apparently I’m known as the guy who surfs at Redhead Beach.

What church ministries excite me?

Music, Youth/Teens/Young Families.

What does a lazy afternoon look like for me?

If it’s onshore – a book, Spotify tunes and the hammock.

The best thing about working at BCC is…

Working with a committed group of Jesus followers whose desire it is to see God’s Kingdom come in the here and now. It’s seeing young lives transformed by having a sense of belonging, coming to faith and believing in Jesus as Lord and Saviour, then becoming all they were created to be.

Primary Teacher

Mrs Rachelle Boyce

What is my prop all about?

I love spending time with my children! I am also passionate about literacy education and fostering a love of reading. What is missing from this photo is that I also really enjoy being outdoors and being active, however, there are only so many things that can fit into one photo!

What church ministries excite me?

Anything that connects people together beyond mere pleasantries whether it is amongst the regular congregation or connecting with the wider community. Only then can we have more meaningful relationships and conversations, which naturally enable us to serve and love others in more useful, practical ways.

What does a lazy afternoon look like for me?

This may sound unusual, but I do not like lazy afternoons and prefer to be doing something active. I really find it quite difficult to sit for long periods of time without feeling restricted and sluggish. I do like to curl up with a good book when I have free time though.

The best thing about working at BCC is…

The students – I value the honesty of the little ones I teach and appreciate their unique personalities. I enjoy working with a great dedicated staff who each bring so many skills, perspectives and experience to the team.

Lazing on the beach under a cabana with a warm breeze, gazing at the great view, book in hand and maybe a massage.
