Hear from our parents

We have watched our son grow in confidence and school readiness due to his attendance at BCC. We can clearly see that this year is the foundation for his Kindergarten experience. We are so excited about our son’s school future now!

What is your favourite part about teaching BCC Beginners?
I love seeing each child grow in their confidence in learning and their confidence in making friendships while playing. Hearing their giggles as they creatively play, sing, listen to stories, draw, move and help each other is a delight to watch. Helping work with families to best transition their Beginners child to Kindergarten is something I am blessed to be a part of.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to go for walks with my family and discover new bushwalking tracks close to the water in our local community. I also like having a good cup of tea while chatting with friends.

Mrs Mishell Smith

BCC Beginners TEACHER

Diploma in Teaching – Early Childhood/Primary

What is your favourite part about teaching BCC Beginners?
The early childhood years are my absolute favourite years to teach. I love how everything is so new to this age group. They are like little sponges that enjoy learning and practicing their new found skills. I so enjoy introducing them to the wonder of learning and seeing their faces light up as they discover something new and master a new skill. I feel so blessed to become a small part of the children’s learning journey and I hope and pray I can help them grow as learners as they gain confidence in their own abilities. I absolutely love getting to know the parents of these children as well and supporting them in any way I can.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to have coffee and a chat with friends any time I can. I also love to do crafts. I love to cut and create with my paper cutting machine and enjoy making resources for teaching using this. It makes my cutting skills appear amazing, but I cheat.

What is your favourite part about teaching BCC Beginners?
I love seeing the enthusiasm the kids have to learn and question about a variety of topics. I love to see their progress throughout the year and as they develop the skills they will need for Kindergarten. Above all, my favourite part about teaching BCC Beginners is helping the kids to build a foundation of faith as they begin their own journey with Christ.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love to spend time with family and friends, go to the beach and listen to music.
