Dear Parents and Caregivers,
After receiving further advice from CSSA and CIS unfortunately the College Cross Country Carnival next Friday 27th March will have to be cancelled/postponed. The most likely scenario is that it will be cancelled for 2020.
CSSA and CIS have cancelled all sporting events until 31st May. That means all events are off in the first half of Term 2. CSSA and CIS are reconvening on the 7th May to determine what happens for the remainder of Term 2, but it is highly likely all Term 2 sports events will be cancelled.
Implications for the College:
April
7th – Primary Hunter Rugby 7’s – Postponed indefinitely
29th – Primary AFL Paul Kelly Cup – Postponed until Term 3
29th/30th – Secondary CIS State Swimming – Cancelled
30th – Primary Hunter All Schools Mountain Bike Championships – Postponed until Term 4
May
1st – Secondary Hunter All Schools Mountain Biking Championships – Postponed until Term 4
5th – Primary Athletics Carnival – highly likely we will have to cancel and look for alternative, a decision will be made early next Term
6th – Secondary Football Gala Day – Tamworth – Postponed
15th – Secondary Athletics Carnival – highly likely we will have to cancel and look for alternative, decision will be made early next Term
27th – Secondary Football Gala Day – Wet Weather Back Up – Postponed
29th – Primary & Secondary CSSA State X Country – Cancelled
If CSSA cancel State Finals Zone Gala Day then Zone is automatically cancelled. If CSSA go ahead with CSSA Finals, we cancel Futsal Gala Day and use that date for Football Gala Day – 10/6.
Thanks for your understanding in these very interesting times.
Regards,
Mr Mark Hall & Mr Ben Robins
