Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I have had much positive feedback about our remote learning that is taking place. It’s exciting to hear that this learning experience is not only positive for our students, but for staff and parents, too. I’m excited to see how staff are still cultivating curiosity and wonder with our students. Thank you for supporting your child’s learning and thank you for the many encouraging messages.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to reiterate the Premier’s announcement that students are to remain home, unless they are children of essential workers. We as a College are supporting this position. There will continue to be on-site provision for the supervision of students, and this is intended for children of essential services workers, children in need, and children of parents with no option other than to send their children to school. Students will be supervised whilst participating in remote learning in a supported yet altered classroom setting. Hygiene practices and social distancing will be enforced. However, it is our expectation that most children will remain at home. I feel it can’t be said enough, please remember that if your child is sick, do not send them to school (or childcare).
As many events and sporting opportunities for children have been cancelled, why not use this as a time to reconnect as a family.
Bless you and your family as we continue to partner in the education of your children.
Regards,
