Change to Uniform requirements for Winter A notice previously issued incorrectly advised that boys can wear short pants in winter. This is not correct. The requirement for winter uniform is that boys in K-6 wear navy long trousers and 7 – 12 wear grey (navy permitted in 2019) long trousers. Short pants are to be worn for Terms 1 and 4 only. As has previously been communicated, boys in K-12 have the option of wearing short sleeve shirts in winter. This remains correct, however the shirt must have a top button that can be done up when wearing a tie. We apologise for the confusion this has caused. All students still have the option to wear sport shorts or pants in winter, on sport days. Also a reminder of changes already announced at the end of 2018, for 2019 and beyond:All Senior Secondary students in Years 11 and 12 will move to a white shirt or blouse. The current blue shirt or blouse may be worn as an alternative and be an option to wear either for those in Years 11 and 12 in 2019, and for those in Year 12 in 2020. Students commencing Year 11 in 2020 will need to wear a white shirt or blouse. All Secondary boys in Years 7 to 12 will move to grey shorts in summer and grey trousers in winter. All Secondary girls in Years 7 to 12 will move to grey skirt all year round. In 2019, students in Years 7 to 10 will have the option to wear navy shorts for boys or blue skirt for girls to allow time to plan and transition to the new uniform.Socks: Boys K-12 will wear grey BCC striped socks, and girls K-12 will wear new white BCC striped socks. The uniform shop has stopped selling uniform items with the old logo where a new logo item is available. All old logo items will be phased out fully by the start of 2020 (with the exception stated above for Year 12 in 2020). |
