Permanent Part-Time

College Nurse

Commences Term 1 2025

This position provides a quality school nursing service in relation to primary health care, health education and ongoing medical treatment and referrals, in a physical and emotionally nurturing environment. Working closely with the Wellbeing Team, the role cares for the physical, psychological, and emotional health and wellbeing of each student and provides primary health care to the entire College community, within the framework of the College’s vision and mission.

The successful applicant should have:

  • •Knowledge of and a deep commitment to child safety in an education setting.
  • •Current Working with Children Check.
  • •AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • •Substantial clinical skills including triaging, treatment, and referrals as well as management of individual management action plans for students with chronic illnesses or health risks.
  • •Up to date skills and accreditation in basic life support.
  • •The skills and experience to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.
  • •Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Database).
  • •Current Driver’s License.
  • •Demonstrated skills and experience in the following attributes:

Part-Time 3 Days

Food Technology TAS Aide

We are now seeking expressions of interest from anyone who is passionate about assisting Kingdom Education and working in a productive team environment with students.

The successful applicant should:

  • •Be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church
  • •Attain technology competencies – office, kitchen, and textiles equipment
  • •Hold a Safe Food Handling Certificate or equivalent
  • •Hold a driver’s license and own their own vehicle

  • •Contribute to the life of the College community

Details of the role involves:

  • •Use online ordering systems to order and shop for ingredients
  • •Preparation of ingredients for practical lessons
  • •Preparation of teacher demonstration ingredients, equipment and clean-up.
  • •Collating data from student forms to order ingredients for individual projects
  • •Detailed cleaning of the kitchens and maintain kitchen equipment
  • •Maintaining food stocks to a high level of food safety
  • •Washing of aprons, tea towels etc.
  • •Supporting textiles classes sourcing fabrics and maintaining equipment

The Food Technology TAS Aide may also have to work with individual students with special attributes in a classroom setting to assist their learning and ensure an Inclusive Education. The Aide would need to demonstrate initiative, be self-motivated and energetic as the role can be quite physical. Excellent communication and organisational skills are a requirement.

Head of Student Learning and Support

We are seeking a leader to run our Student Learning and Support Department. This role oversees student learning and support, psychology, and counselling services to provide a holistic approach at the College. As a valued member of the Learning Leadership team and a key part of the College Executive team, this highly valued role makes a difference in student lives by offering comprehensive and consistent support and extension in a Christian learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • •Lead and supervise the student learning and support team, providing clear direction, recruiting high-calibre staff, and ensuring staff development.
  • •Work closely with stakeholders, fostering collaboration to create a positive and effective team environment.
  • •Oversee and apply expertise in specialised support service for students, ensuring best practices and consistent implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) across the College.
  • •Coordinate and manage resources and staff to deliver effective support and extension programs for students, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • •Ensure compliance with NCCD requirements, data collection, and audits while overseeing adjustments and provisions for students’ needs.
  • •Manage financial projections and budgets while contributing to government submissions and reports.
  • •Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the Student Learning and Support department’s operations.

Selection Criteria:

  1. It is an inherent requirement of the role that the incumbent have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, actively attend their local Church, and willingly support the vision of the College.
  2. Knowledge of and a deep commitment to child safety in an education setting.
  3. Current Working with Children Check
  4. NESA teacher registration and post-graduate qualifications in special education.
  5. Substantial experience in leading a team in specialised support service for students.
  6. Demonstrated experience in building processes and systems that support funding and compliance requirements.
  7. Extensive knowledge of NCCD regulations

Belmont Christian College invites applications from suitably qualified Secondary Christian educators to commence in Term 1, 2025 to serve as a full time TAS teacher.

This position is an opportunity for an experienced, innovative Christian educator who is passionate about Kingdom Education and desires to work within a productive team environment. The role of the Secondary TAS Teacher is to deliver high-quality Christian teaching and learning programs aligned with the TAS curriculum. This includes fostering student engagement and skill development in areas such as Design and Technology, Food Technology, Industrial Technology, Software Engineering, and other practical based disciplines.

The successful applicant should:

  • •Be able to provide quality TAS Christian education to students in Years 7 -12.
  • •NESA teacher accreditation.
  • •Current Working with Children Check.
  • •Compliant with all NESA requirements in regard to course specifications, mandatory hours, assessment tasks, assessment criteria and accurate record keeping and standards of the College.
  • •Substantial experience in teaching students TAS lessons.

All staff are required to be Christians, active in their local church.

Applicants should have experience and a willingness to teach Stage 4 Technology Mandatory, Stage 5 Industrial Technology-Timber and Stage 6 Design and Technology.
